Meet Stephi Burnell

Today I trust my body, I carried my 42 weeks of pregnancy without any pain, training as always lifting weights without fear, I had a postpartum recovery without discomfort or pain, I feel strong, I trust my body, I am not afraid to bend down, to move, to lift weight or to pick up and carry my baby for as long as necessary.

I have freedom of movement and I have the knowledge to know how to do it and how not to do it.

When I finished my physiotherapy degree I had already gone through my first episode of sciatica, bedridden for 1 month with suicidal thoughts from the immense pain I was feeling and injecting morphine into my abdomen to feel some relief.

I had received many passive treatments (massages, manipulations, physiotherapy, osteopathy) and nothing improved my condition. 

They decided to operate on me because I asked the doctor to amputate my leg — I could not live with that pain.

I felt that my physiotherapy degree had not really given me a way to analyze people, but rather everything focused on treating the symptom through: massages, stretches, strength exercises, various equipment, heat, etc.

I then began studying osteopathy because I could see it had a more global approach, but I was not convinced by “adjusting” joints that would go back out of place once we removed our hands.

I felt a great deal of frustration and was looking for a way to generate lasting changes in my patients, since everything was lost the moment I removed my hands.

This path of years of frustration while studying many physiotherapy courses went hand in hand with a knee injury I sustained while playing sports. This is where a deeper search began. 

I tried every physiotherapist, chiropractor, osteopath, massage therapist, acupuncture — I tried everything… they all treated my knee in one way or another and I was not improving.

Until I discovered the world of neuroscience-based techniques.

And I threw myself headfirst into studying and being able to generate changes in my patients’ brains so that it is the brain that commands healthy movement… BINGO!

Now I dedicate myself to ensuring that my patients’ brains correctly control their bodies, and that is what makes all the difference. It is not me who generates the change — it is your own brain, and therein lies the key.

Let's clear up any doubts:

12 weeks, with 12 sessions of 1 hour 15 minutes each. You will be able to watch it at your own pace, everything will be recorded, listen to the questions that came up and take action right away!

Yes, in fact we will address the relationship between different types of pain since their root cause may be interconnected.

You can still participate, since what always matters is the treatment of function. Although it is always recommended that a doctor rules out anything that cannot be addressed through physiotherapy. 

The herniated disc itself is not what we treat, as that is the symptom — it is the consequence. We will work on the dysfunction in your body that has caused the herniation, in order to reduce its symptoms and prevent it from worsening.

To do the course we need you to be able to lie on the floor and perform some simple movements, but you need to be able to lie on the floor, face down for less than 1 minute, and face up for at least 10 minutes to do the tests.

If you cannot move, you may need some support to reduce the inflammation of the nerve first, so that we can then work on the root cause.
