About Stephi

It all started with a spinal injury that ended in lumbar surgery, when I was just 20 years old. I spent a month bedridden, with suicidal thoughts fueled by morphine injections in my abdomen — it was unbearable.

I knew that surgery was not the solution, nor were the massages, stretches, and exercises without proper analysis that I was receiving, but at that time I had no other tools. And this was while I was studying physiotherapy and being treated by several of my professors and seeing the best osteopaths.

Over more than 15 years of extensive study and accumulating new injuries (knee, shoulder, etc.), I discovered how to get our brain to correctly control our body. Our brain is capable of sending healthy movement signals — movement that does NOT damage our discs, tendons, and ligaments.

I was living a nightmare

When I saw the doctor and asked him if it was possible to live without my leg, because I preferred to have it amputated, he said: You need spinal surgery, you cannot go on living like this.

Surgery is not always a long-term solution — it gets you through that moment. So I continued suffering for many more years, while searching for a definitive solution.

I was tired of passive treatments, where you lie on a table and receive endless treatments, massages, stretches, machines placed on top of you, but I never understood how any of this was going to help me, since the moment the therapist removed their hands, everything would start getting worse again.

I couldn't understand how those massages and machines would teach my body to move correctly and stop constantly getting injured. I just couldn't understand it.

This journey of more than 15 years of intensive study, accumulating new injuries (knee, shoulder, etc.), research, and testing different techniques, has led me to develop a working approach that has finally put an end to my pain.

I kept specializing more and more in how to get our brain to correctly control our body. So that our brain is capable of sending healthy movement signals — movement that does NOT damage our discs, tendons, ligaments, etc.

I have studied in depth, and continue to study, movement — always through the lens of neuroscience and neuropedagogy, which is very different from what I was taught at university as exercises for patients.

I am no longer afraid to move

Quite the opposite — I love movement, it is not an obligation for me. I learned to experience it as enjoyment, as play. I learned to reconnect with movement, to feel my body come alive.

I am no longer afraid to make plans

I feel strong, I trust in my physical and mental capabilities. Before, I was afraid to make plans — a simple walk or a trip, worrying that I wouldn’t even make it through the plane or bus journey due to the pain, let alone long walks without being able to rest.

I am no longer frustrated and depressed

I feel that I enjoy my full potential, both physical and mental. And this helps me every day to support others in getting out of that place.

Reclaim your life, your self-esteem and your confidence in yourself

Feeling free and independent will strengthen your relationships — that’s right! When we feel strong and in control of our bodies, we feel capable of so much more. And that shows in your relationships — family, work, friendships.
